Gale B. Nemec, President/Executive Producer
Gale Nemec is the driving force behind The Bea & The Bug Extravaganza for Children!™ After a decade of developing different aspects of The Bea & The Bug!™, she combined her talents as a producer, writer, theatrical talent and educator to create this theatrical extravaganza for the community and especially children. Ms. Nemec's goal is to produce The Bea & The Bug!™ for decades to come and to make it a Washington tradition that will radiate throughout America. She is also working to create an intern program for the annual production.
Ms. Nemec has been the CEO of Nemec Productions, Inc. for more than two decades. As a
Producer/Writer, her productions have been seen or heard nationally and internationally on PBS, NPR, the History Channel, The Discovery Channel, Fox affiliate stations, cable systems, Armed Forces Radio Network, at the Carter Barron theatre, and more. Her public service announcements (PSAs) have broken distribution and gross impression records, with many PSA productions running as long as four years. As a theatrical talent, Ms. Nemec has been highly acclaimed for her performances on stage in both professional and community theatre and in her one woman shows. She has been honored to perform in theatrical productions at the Kennedy Center, Adventure Theatre, Lazy Suzan, and with Tapestry Theatre Company.
A dedicated community volunteer, Ms. Nemec has served on several boards, numerous committees,
and taught 3, 4, and 5 year olds in Sunday school. She is a published writer, Living With Cats (Williams Morrow) and published song writer, You Can Make A Difference and the Port Discovery Opening Theme Song, (Walt Disney: Imagineering). She has just completed writing Little Stockey, a Christmas story. She is one of seven children.
Ms. Nemec was an elementary school educator for seven years and has a Masters degree.
Gale has the unique ability to reach, motivate, and educate individuals in a positive way. These abilities, combined with her rich diversity of experience in television and radio production and the theatre, give her the sought after advantage of understanding and bringing the different fields together for brilliant, educational entertainment.
